Are you happy with your LCD TV? How it compares with your old CRT? I hear many people saying CRT TVs have better picture quality than LCD TVs. How true is that?

Don't own an LCD TV. I have seen far too many, so I know better than to buy one. I will probably never buy one.
CRTs do have better picture quality than LCDs in terms of color reproduction and depth, contrast, black levels, and response time. LCDs are fixed-pixel and can often offer higher usable resolution, but anything not at their native resolution does not look good.
CRT is the way to go. When watching video, the eye pays attention to motion and color rather than fine detail. That is why contrast and response time are more important specs than resolution when it comes to picture quality, and CRT excels at both.
CRT tv's have been color depth and much better darkness and contrast then LCDs. That's just a limit of LCD technology. It won't be solved until OLED tv's are released. Currently an 11 inch sony is like $2000. That said, LCD is overall a better television experience with high def images and much larger screen sizes.
