Can I make my Hard Disk Camcorder record directly to the computer?

Can I make my Hard Disk Camcorder record directly to the computer? Like a web cam does, rather than recording away and uploading I would like to record directly to a recording program on my computer. It is a JVC HD Hard Disk Camcorder.

nope..not possible. you can only do that with a few cameras with the settings.*check your camcorder's menu for settings..on my camera there are 3 settings; USB,WEB,PICT...i can use my camera for webcam because it has the setting in the menu*
