Dead pixels question?

Dead pixels question? If you buy a new tv and it has NO dead pixels will it always have none? or can they develop over time? if so what kind of things trigger them and how can they be prevented

All LCD televisions are prone to developing dead pixels. It is just something they do.

The only way to avoid dead pixels completely, is to buy a plasma television.

Dead pixels can develop due to coincidental over use they can't be predicted or prevented but can sometimes be repaired by flashing with a computer.
