Fixing broken speaker tip?

Fixing broken speaker tip? hi guys, the tip just came off that connects the speaker to in the input of "say a laptop". The computer speakers i have right now are pretty expensive. Is there a way i can fix it. For example, like cutting the top off and replacing it with something i can buy from best buy or radio shack.

Radio Shack has 1/8" replacement jack ends. You will need a soldering iron in order to connect the wire, but Radio Shack sells that too. And just as a tip, they sell both crappy $10 soldering irons and also some nicer ones in the $25 range. The better ones are well worth the money. They cheap ones are really really cheap.
