Free view - no signal? Please help?

Im 14 and trying to set up our new freeview box. I went onto there website and followed the setting up instructions exactly, but when it comes to turning it on, it just says No signal. Please Help. By the way i would really liek to watch a programme thats on at 10pm tonight on E4, (E4 being on freeview) Please please help. Thanks in advance. Please.

No signal =1.No aerial plugged in.2.Poor signal quality to the point where it can't auto tune. Answer =1.Place aerial higher up and near a window if it's of that type.2.Aerial booster to enhance signal.
