How do you hook up a PS3 and a Direct TV HD Satellite Receiver to a samsung digital theater system?

How do you hook up a PS3 and a Direct TV HD Satellite Receiver to a samsung digital theater system? I bought a samsung surround sound system (model: HT-Z320) to hook up to my Playstation 3 and my Satellite Receiver. I can not figure this out to save my life. I hooked up the white an red cable directly from my satellite box to my surround sound but all the sound is coming from my front speakers only. There really doesn't seem to be much connections for hooking up external devices to the surround sound. is there a way that I can fix this. Please help.

Connect optical cable from PS3 and DirectTV receiver to Samsung system for surround sound if Samsung system has optical inputs. Red & white cables just gives you stereo sound ( 2 channel ).
