How to fix frosen ps3 without turning game off?

i was playing midnight club LA when suddenly the ps3 froze up and i was in the middle of making a design that i was working on for 1 hr! I want to fix it and start from where i was again.

Sorry katrina its not going to unfreeze. If your lucky some of your work might be saved when you restart it

its not gonna unfreeze it might restart itself but i got the new ps3 and its only frozen 2 times but it never unfreezes
