How to tell if your watch is broken?
How to tell if your watch is broken? Should keep it, fix it or get a new one? Every time I look at it it is always out. I almost have to adjust it every morning, and by the end of the day it is the wrong time again, sometimes out by a few hours. The stopper thing is really hard to pull out, I have to get it under my nails and twist hard, so I doubt that this is the cause. When people talk of a 'fast' or 'slow' watch is it literally out of sync or do they mean that it is the wrong time? Suggestions anybody?

If its an electronic watch worked with a battery, it's probably not worth repairing unless it was very expensive. 'Fast' and 'slow' running means a watch that consistently appears a few seconds or minutes ahead or behind proper (radio signal etc) time, and gets more and more thus every day, not a watch that suddenly 'slips' several hours. More the case in the old days with mechanical watches you had to wind.
