If I use a USB port for more than one device/a different device?
If I get a 32 GB itouch and use the same USB cord thingy that I used for my 4th generation ipod nano, will it effect the itouch? Or are all USB ports the same? Should I just buy a new, separate cord? If I have two laptops that are the same models, can the chargers be used interchangeably?
THANK YOU SO MUCH

USB1.1 and USB2.0....
USB means "universal serial port", but when USB2.0 was issued, it was designed to support legacy devices, but not the other way around.
If you have a newer, faster, USB device, and an older computer that is not USB2.0 compliant, the new device may not work without a hardware upgrade (new card or new PCMCIA card).
Not all cords are the same, the standard mini USB cable will not work with a micro USB connector....
My Motorola phone uses a mini USB while my Nokia uses a micro...
