Iphone?…

I live in North Dakota and we don't have AT&T here. I really really want the iphone is there anyway i can get it. If i did get it would I have to switch over to at&t. Would it work if I don't have at&t service here. By the way I have Verizon. Does anybody know if verizon is gonna get the iphone??? Thanks for your help!

If you don't get AT&T service where you live, you will not get service on an iPhone. You will be buying a useless phone and locking yourself into a useless contract with an Early Termination Fee of $325.

Sorry the only question I can answer is when the iPhone is coming to Verizon which would be next summer. The best thing to do would be to wait and by that time they might have an upgraded one out anyways.

There's no way you can do it legit. If you want to go rogue you can buy it online at ebay or amazon or wherever you can get it and have someone unlock it ( by hacking it) or buy one already unlocked called jail broken you'll find someone who can do it. Then you can get verizon service on it. P.S. don't forget to send Steve Jobs a text when your done ha ha. Good luck

Unfortunately you are out of luck. Verizon is about the only major phone service in American that you cannot possibly get the iPhone on. You can unlock the iPhone for use on other carriers (mine is unlocked and running on Cincinnati Bell) however this is only for carriers that use GSM like AT&T. GSM phones use SIM cards which are kind of like the soul of the phone. Verizon uses CDMA technology (I think that's what it's called) and does NOT have a SIM card, so it is completely impossible. Also, last time I checked, Apple's contract with AT&T did not expire till at least 2012, but that could have since been extended. Sorry!

The phone will not work on Verizon. Sorry :( You would have to switch to AT&T. Do you have an Apple store, a best buy, a radio shack, or a walmart? These stores also sell AT&T phones and the iPhone.
