DVD player does not support blu-ray disc,
another choice, rip blu-ray disc to DVD, then play the burned disc on your dvd player,
Maybe Aleesoft Free Blu-ray Ripper can help you

To read a blu-ray disc you need a player that has a blue laser - wavelength of 405nm. The DVD player uses a red laser at 650nm. DVD players also have different laser diode that can produce light at 780nm in order to read CDs.
