My Kindle 2 screensaver will not get off my screen?

My Kindle 2 screensaver will not get off my screen!!? I had put it on hold and the screensaver of the guy sitting at a desk with a lion in front came up. When I tried to turn it back on later in the day, the top half of the screen came on, but the bottom half stayed as the screensaver. No matter what book I open or what I do, the screensaver does not get off the screen!! Any suggestions?
