My phone is searching for a signal? and I can't receive or call anyone?

It's working fine, except I can't make or receive calls. I can't send texts either.I have the Samsung Behold.I already tried taking out the battery & sim card.Any suggestions? :(

ROFLMAOso what exactly is working fine if it can not do the functions that it was intended to do?you might be in a dead zone... with out the battery and sim card in your phone it is not going to work... so you might want to put those back into your phone....
