Heres a couple of things you have to take into consideration.

- Frame Response Rate if your getting an LCD look for the 120Hz models but even then they are slow.
Plasma this is not an issue.
- Burn in, although an issue with Plasma, "pretty much been illuminated" but still a concern in the market.
LCD does't have this problem.
- True Colour Representation, well as a plasma boasts the Blackest black and the Whitest whites and all 100 billion colours in between (i'm joking I don't remember the exact figure) Well you see what I mean.
LCD is limited because in order to display a true black the light source behind the pixel has to be turned off...Not possible because LCD blocks the light source instead of turning it off.
- Lastly this applies to both "how are you going to connect to the TV" HDMI is the best look for more then 1 trust me...And you might want to optical out for your sound system..
- As for the types of brands of TV's

Samsung
Pioneer
Panasonic
LG

For gaming, LCD is a safer choice. no burn-in, less heat, less power consumption and last longer and good model that I would recommend is SONY BRAVIA EX400

I did a lot of research before I bought a flat-screen TV for my PS3. After hours of store to store and staring at TVs and researching work HD forums (i worked for Dish Network) I found it came down to the MHz rating that created the best picture for fast moving scenes. I love driving games and first person shooters and found that almost all but the most expensive LCD tvs had a 'strobing' or motion blur during fast sequences. So I started looking at plasmas and LED. LED is still really expensive so that was out of the question. So I found that the most bang for your buck is to look at 720p TVs with the highest refresh rate you can afford to the size you want. Not once has anyone noticed that my 55" inch tv is 720 not 1080. Always look for the 720p, I found that dirt cheep 720i has the same motion issues as a LCD. The plasma does have heat issues and a bulb to replace every couple years, but a good power conditioner like a Monster will prolong the bulb life. I do have to keep in mind that with a plasma, in order to maintain best picture quality, I have to be aware of burn in. So those annoying PS3 download install and update progress screens can burn in real quick so change the channel. (LCDs dont have any burn in and longer life) But everybody sees different so look at the TVs, dont just pick one off the net.

Albeit this was about a year ago and LCDs have progressed a bit and there is more LED options than there was a year ago. So look at the MHz rating and contrast ratios, those are the things your eye will notice the most during gameplay.

A very serious gamer might prefer a good plasma set for its resistance to fast-motion blurring. I didn't look up any of your samples, but if the LG is a recent model, it will have the necessary enhancements to prevent the burn-in problem found in older plasma. That might be your top choice.

The LCDs would probably be fine if they have at least a 120 Hz refresh rate (100 in Europe, etc.) and a response time of not more than 6 ms. 4 ms. would be a lot better. Check the specs.

Honestly, none of the above, and here's why: go to the nearest Best Buy and check out the 3D display that Panasonic has- it is insane and you will wish you would have gone 3d if you were to have purchased a non-3d set like the ones you listed. The PS3 has a couple of firmware upgrades coming starting this summer that will allow you to game in 3d, then the later one will allow you to watch blu rays in 3d. If your PS3 is soon to have these capabilities, you may as well take advantage of them- this is not your red and green lensed cardboard glasses 3d, it is the real deal and the future of TV programming as well. ESPN and Discovery have already launched plans for their own 3D channels and having a 3D set will enable you to watch in 3D as well.

Just my opinion, but I think the new Sony monitors coming out next month are the ones to get. LCD has come a long way in terms of contrast ratio and are less prone to burn in than plasma, but plasma has deeper blacks. I would go with LCD if you are going to use it mostly for gaming.

first off you have to ask your self which is best for you most people seem to think that plasma is unreliable they are the same both fantastic the main difference is that LCD can't do black its has a grey haze and if you compare an LCD next to a Plasma you will find the colours are more like real life but its more personal chose. Secondly i noticed you haven't included Panasonic which make large plasma's and are very good :D
