Screen on blackberry curve 8250 has gone black?

i was on my phone, and all of a sudden the screen light started flickering.. it then went completely blank.. its as if my phone is working completely fine, but the screen was pitch black. the red light still flashes, im not sure whats going on with my phone, help?

If this isn't caused by you dropping your phone, water damage, or in anyway damaging it; then I suggest you take your phone to your service provider, they should replace it for free with a refurbished one, they will also transfer all your data so you shouldn't lose any of your contacts and particular settings you may have set.

Try opening the back cover, removing and replacing the battery.
