Transmit Video Signal?
Transmit Video Signal?
I have a digital camera that you can plug into a TV using a composite cable.
I want to be able to composite from the camera to some sort of transmitter to send the video signal and perhaps even the audio to a receiver which would then be plugged into a portable screen/netbook.
What would I need to accomplish this?

answer: ►BobB◄ time: 2010-10-30 00:34:56There are two ways to do this.
First is by a wireless 900 Mhz or 2.4 Ghz analog sender/receiver set.
You will need a receiver at the display device, and for your computer a tuner/capture card.
A second way is by using a Slingbox or similar device at the camera. You will need a network connection at the Slingbox. You can view it from any computer. Other displays will need a SlingCatcher.
You need what is called an RF modulator to take the video and audio signals and put them on an RF carrier. This carrier can be connected to a cable or boosted a bit and connected to an antenna for a wireless connection. Check the links below for RF modulators.
