WMV converter for burning DVD's?

I have made movies with Windows Movie Maker and slide shows with MicroSoft Photo Story 3 programs. Now I want to put them on a DVD to give to someone who does not have a computer but does have a DVD player. But the files won't go on a DVD without being converted. Are there any FREE programs out there that will allow me to burn my Windows Movie Maker files and Microsoft Photo Story 3 files to a DVD that can be read by any home DVD player?

I have not found any yet. If you can convert it to an Mpeg then your DVD should be able to play it. As its a more universal format, kinda like Jpg is for pictures.As far as slide shows, I normally suggest ProShow to my workshop clients looking to do that. As it will make them so that the slideshow will play on all DVD players. But its not free.Other option would be to check out TuCows.com there are lots of great shareware programs there, and more added weekly. You might find one that will do exactly what you need there. Otherwise. Cnet.com is a great resource also.Wish I could be of more help, but thats what I have seen out there. Good Luck and have a great one.
