Which Tv should I buy ? a major dilemma ?
Okay, so I want to buy a tv within a range of $ 500. I went to Wal Mart and I saw Good ones but their size wasnt what I was looking for.
However, I saw two Tvs one was a Sony and another one was Passasonic.
Sony: 42 inches, has all features and ports , also inculd USP port and PC. But has less Ratio less than the Panny. and costs around $ 700.
Panny: 42 inches, has all features expect no USP port or PC. (which I desperately need) and has more ratio than the Sony. and it costs $ 500 because its on discount.
Should I wait for the sony to get on discount? or should I just buy the panny, but if I did how would I manage to get a PC port ?

Its hard to find a TV that will have every connection you are looking for. I personally would stay away from Sony because its over priced. Are you looking for 42 inch? I personally love Panasonic Viera LCD's. Bestbuy has one this week for $409, but its a 32inch. Don't rush into buying one, get their model numbers and check amazon or retail websites on what people are saying. And sometimes you have to sacrifice certain needs to get the best TV; a TV might have the PC connection that you want, but if the quality of the TV is bad - then whats the point of getting that particular brand? On the flip side, you'll find a TV that has a superior quality with no PC connection. Why do you really need a PC connection?

You need to find a deal that suits your needs and budget. Walmart didn't have something to fill your needs. Keep looking. You obviously have access to the internet, search around, till you find a deal you like. Spending money is very easy, getting what you want for it is the real trick.
You can get the deal you want or you can get the deal someone else wants, it's your decision.
well, i think i would take sony over panasonic (brand wise).
in terms of specs, whatever you feel you need the most. you cant really have best of both worlds and expect to get it very cheap.
well, are you planning to use a laptop to an actual pc to connect? laptops (nowadays) have the hdmi outputs. so you should be good on that. if using a pc, then you might just have to use those monitor cables or the s-video if you pc has a port also. all depends what ports exactly each thing has.

You can by video output from your PC to get it into your TV... no problem there... it is just nice to be built in.
I would go with Sony. Who the heck is Panny?
Amazon has many other options with PC input:
See the grid in this one down the page:

Go for Sony.

since you donnot have a PC port , do not buy the Panasonic. The Sony is too expensive? So don't buy it either. try Toshiba 40E200U 40" 1080p LCD HDTV, featuring a 1080p Full HD resolution that provides twice the pixel resolution of 720p HD models. It provides a number of convenient home entertainment options and key picture quality features, including DynaLight dynamic backlight control for deeper black levels and four HDMI digital inputs for simple high quality connection to cable/satellite boxes, DVD players and more. Plus, the HDMI ports feature fast InstaPort switching for quick changes from one source to another. now you can find one in Buydig just for $539, after 110 rebates. it might worth you a peek at http://www.dealstudio.com/searchdeals.ph…
good luck
