The answer above is not correct,"the radio being activated + wireless n features." are community developed you have to root your phone, it's not standard android.Basically the specs are very similar. See 1st paragraph of answer above. What you should decide is whether you want HTC SENSE UI (on desire) or is you prefer plain vanilla android (Nexus one).Due to the SENSE UI, the desire will get updates later then plain vanilla phones because HTC has to adapt a few things first. If your more of a Geek and want the latest stuff + root your phone + install custom mods etc.. go for the Nexus One.Else I'd say your good with the Desire.
answer: Laurent time: 1970-01-02 09:00:12Hello,Its a hard choice as most the specs are pretty similar, main differences are;Nexus has trackball / touch screen buttons - Desire has touchpad / physical buttonsNexus is stock android - Desire has Sense UINexus has noise cancelling mic - Desire has radio + flash lite Nexus will be getting the 2.2 android update first though that includes full flash support (10.1) + the radio being activated + wireless n, hotspots and apps-2-sd features. The HTC desire will in theory get this update about a month later though so its no big deal.I myself went for the nexus as i'm not to bothered about sense ui (use adw.launcher anyway) + i prefer its looks, the fact it gets updates first and the better speech to text features. A lot of people prefer the touchpad bit and the physical buttons of the desire though + i believe it has a tiny bit more ramReally though its down to personal preference :)Hope that helpedUPDATE:(in answer to below) @Laurent -On further investigation seems your right about the radio bit (in that froyo does not enable, meaning you'd need a custom rom to use)Though quite a few reputable sources still claim that wireless-n in froyo is indeed activated for the stock n1http://www.androidcentral.com/froyo-feat…
