Which should I choose-- Looks or Memory?

I'm planning on buying a Flip camera. The Mino version in my price range holds 60 minutes of film, lets you choose a design to put on your camera if you wish, and is 149.99. For that same price, I could buy the Ultra Flip which holds 120 minutes and doesn't let you choose a design-- it comes in white, black, or white with accents of certain colors. I really want a camera that says me, but I also want to shoot as many videos as possible. And I have another question, this one actually has a 'subjective' answer: what do you do when your Flip runs out of memory-- you know how they come with 60 minutes or 120 minutes, is that all it can hold, or do you need to go out and buy a memory card, or a new Flip, or what?

Answer Question

You may want more memory if you were planning to take a lot of video, say on a holiday. But many owners of camcorders, digital cameras, and even cell phones keep images and video on their devices instead of downloading them (saving) to their computer, thus freeing up the memory for more video, etc. The designs do look cool but it's your call. Just a thought here: If you are diligent about off loading your video all the time, then having 60 minutes of memory shouldn't be a problem.BTW: None of the Flips use memory cards.

All right. Hey! I have a Flip camera. I got it just recently-- the one with the more memory! And I suggest that in the long run, you're going to want the camera with the more memory. Afterall, if you want to add more "you" styles to it, you can always just make a case or put stickers on it, etc. It's easier to decorate one with more memory than to try and choose videos to erase so you have more memory for more. If that makes sense, haha. And with the Flip, when you use up your 2 hours (or if you choose the Mino, 1 hour) of memory, you just connect it to a computer. The Flip automatically comes with a program that lets you edit and make your videos into movies. It also lets you save your videos to your computer, so that you have more room on your actual camera for even MORE videos. It doesn't have a memory card, unfortunately, but it does have a lot of memory (the Ultra). So, I'm thinking if you're going to be using it a lot on trips or if you're not going to be with a computer most of the time, then you're going to want a Flip with more memory. If you don't plan on using it very often, then go with the Mino, because of it's sleek looks. :) Hope I helped! Email me if you've got any more questions! (katelynnicolemostad@hotmail.com)
