Wii controller keeps having a tantrum?

I was playing multiplayer guitar hero at my friends so i brought my guitar an controller over. We accidentally got them mixed up and now i have her controller. I tried to sync it but it just keeps flashing then turns off. Im craving guitar hero, is there a way i can just reset it so i can play it with her controller?

try holding the sync button on the wii for 15 secconds or so, thus disconnecting all your remotes. then reconnect them all by clicking the sync button on the remote (don't hold), then while it's still flashing, click(don't hold) the sync button on the wii. repeat this process (minus disconnecting all of them) for each of your remotes, and it should work fine.
